Welcome to spring quarter! As we embrace what will be a busy and energizing few months, I’d like to take a moment to recognize the great work of our Office of Sustainability for creating an engaging Earth Month series of events, workshops, lectures, and other programming.

With many species of salmon throughout the Pacific Northwest on the decline, Bellevue College was recently acknowledged for its efforts to slow this trend through stormwater management practices that work to protect the local watershed.

Commerce awards $55.5 million to help building owners meet Clean Building Performance Standards | Washington State Dept. of Commerce

Seventy building owners across Washington received $45 million in Clean Buildings Performance Grant funding from the Washington State Department of Commerce. The awarded building owners, which include private and public entities, will use the funds to make energy-efficient upgrades that support compliance with the state’s Clean Buildings Performance Standard (CBPS).
