Bellevue College is taking important steps in promoting a sustainable transportation. Newly installed EV(Electric Vehicle) Charge units are available for use in the parking garage. The project, which was presented by student Robert Rowe to the SESF Committee in August 2011, aimed to create new opportunities for BC students, faculty, and the surrounding community to reduce their carbon footprint.
With the emergence of reliable electric vehicles on the market, the need for charging using became apparent. By making Bellevue College EV capable, it has also opened up the school to opportunities to integrate electric WeCars (coming soon!).
Interested in electric cars? Here’s a comparison from the Sightline Institute that might help you get to know the options.
