Bellevue College just hired the first coordinator for the Faculty Commons, Marika Reinke. Marika emphasized Sustainability as a framework for her vision of the Faculty Commons.
The Faculty Commons provides support for faculty-guided innovation, adaptation of curriculum and pedagogy, and other forms of faculty professional development that contribute to student success and to the educational mission and goals of the College.
Marika is program chair, faculty and co-founder of the Sustainable Business Practices program. Marika is actively engaged in campus sustainability efforts and chairs the Sustainability Curriculum Subcommittee as well as co-chairing the Environmental Advisory Committee.
