The Sustainability Curriculum Subcommittee presented learning outcomes to the Curriculum Advisory Committee on Friday April 13th and to the Instructional Leadership Session on April 18th, 2012.
The learning outcomes created by the committee come as a result of the committee’s desire to track existing courses and increase the number of courses and sections integrating sustainability into the curriculum. You can review the proposal and outcomes here and provide comments below:
The committee drew from resources such as the Curriculum for the Bioregion initiative, particularly their report: Building Concepts of Sustainability into Undergraduate Curriculum (pdf) and the American Association of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE) Sustainability Rating and Tracking System (STARS), a common framework for measuring sustainability in higher education.
