Van Jones is a globally recognized, award-winning pioneer in human rights and the clean-energy economy. Jones, who served as adviser to the White House Council on Environmental Quality, is currently a senior fellow in the Energy and Environment program at the Center For American Progress.
On Saturday, March 10th, Sophia Trinh our Vice President of Pluralism and Student affairs, Monica Mendoza, our Office of Student Legislative Affair’s Organizing Director, Megan Phan, our Environmental and Social Representative, and many other dedicated student leaders at BC went to the Guiding Lights Conference in Seattle learned how to truly live like a citizen. They had the opportunity to listen to, Gerda Weissmann Klein (Holocaust survivor), Annie Leonard (the woman from The Story of Stuff), Van Jones, and many others speak. Here Van Jones has a message to say to Bellevue College.
