Over the last few months Bellevue College has undergone an energy audit of lighting, water and heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems on main campus as part of the Washington State Energy Savings Energy Performance Contracting Program. That audit is now complete and the College is reviewing proposals that would reduce energy and water consumption and spending and improve function.
This is an invitation to provide feedback. First take a look at the summary below. Then visit the public lighting mock-up sites on your own using the links below or ask to join a tour. Classrooms/ Offices: Fluorescent 2 x 28 watt T8 lamps, troffer retrofit
- Reduce wattage, maintain (or improve) lumens
- Parallel circuitry (if lamp goes out others stay on)
- Standard “color” across campus
- Infrared and ultrasonic occupancy detection
- Manual switch
