College Bound Resource Fair 2018

OLS students and staff had a great time on Feb 3 at the College Bound Resource Fair. OLS presents this annual event for people with disabilities who aspire to go to college in partnership with Autism Spectrum Navigators at Bellevue College, ACHIEVE Highline College, SAILS Seattle Central College, and Mosaic at University of Washington.

OLS student volunteers were on-site to check in attendees, help people navigate through the buildings, act as presentation room monitors, and answer questions about the OLS Program. They also staffed our vendor booth after the presentations to talk about the OLS program and provide information to prospective students, parents, counselors, and educators.

OLS staff and faculty were also on sight to help out with the event in addition to some of them presenting on a variety of topics including Independence for New College Students and Families, Executive Function and the College Student, and Internships & Volunteering. OLS also hosted an Information Session at the event.

Overall the event was a great success providing much needed information for college bound students and families and professionals that support them.
