In our Intro to Computers course, students learn to navigate a variety of programs including Microsoft Word. One of the activities students do to put their new Word skills to the test is creating a flier.
Students pick an upcoming event for their families to use in the flier, and they include all the important details such as date, time, and location, and insert elements like pictures and a border. This activity requires them to use both the technical knowledge they’ve gained in the course and their own imagination to complete the assignment.
