Three outstanding students from OLS Bellevue College (OLSBC) recently attended the BC Foundation’s Donor & Scholar Reception on Thursday, November 14th. This annual event brings together donors and scholarship recipients to celebrate their generosity and the impact of their contributions. It also recognizes the remarkable students whose lives are transformed by these gifts.
OLSBC students Makena, Logan, and Jesse were among the scholarship recipients. Each expressed gratitude and excitement about the opportunity their scholarships provided.

Makena
“I am so incredibly grateful for the BC Foundation Scholarship. The OLS program is providing me a strong foundation in my life, and I am confident that I am being set up for success. Thank you to the BC Foundation for choosing me!”
Logan emphasized how the scholarship was not only a personal achievement but also a way to support his family.

“I feel like all my hard work is paying off now. Also, this scholarship is helping me reach my goal of getting my dream job in sports management for [a] sports team. This scholarship is also helping my family pay for school.”
Logan
Jesse reflected on the significance of receiving the scholarship and how it helps him with his tuition:

“I am so proud of myself for [receiving] the scholarship as an OLS Bellevue College student. It is a big accomplishment for me to [get] a scholarship like this during my college experience. It could be helpful paying towards my college tuition. I would like to thank the BC Foundation for all they do for me to [receive] this scholarship and myself being a great OLS student in the community.”
Jesse
OLSBC continues to provide students with the skills and resources necessary to excel in both their academic and professional lives. The BC Foundation Scholarship is vital in helping students like Makena, Logan, and Jesse achieve their goals and build a brighter future.
