OLS Students Use PowerPoint to Tell Stories

In the Winter Quarter Computer Applications course, students learned some new functions in PowerPoint, one of them being how to make a Photo Album with pictures. The students created a PowerPoint presentation about an experience they had in their lives and presented it during class, with one condition: they could not speak.

Students learned how to use images and music to tell the story for them. Through this assignment, students learned a new way to communicate without having to stand up and speak in front of people. The idea of taking photos and creating a story is something they found exciting and easy to do after a little instruction and practice.
