He is a recipient of the Hoffman Math Scholarship, the founder of the STEM Student Association, the Vice President of the Rocketry Club, a NASA Community College Aerospace Scholar, and an intern at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. A Bellevue resident, Ahn plans to obtain an advanced degree in aeronautics and astronautics in the future.

Phi Theta Kappa, the international honor society for two-year colleges, introduced the All-USA Academic Team to honor students for their scholastic achievement and community service efforts. The students who comprise the All-Washington Academic Team reflect the diversity of the state, maintain high standards of excellence and contribute positively to the community.
