Passing of President Thomas O’Connell
Dec 24, 2015Former Bellevue College President Dr. Thomas E. O’Connell, who led our campus from 1977 – 1981, passed away in Octo- ber at the age of 90.
O’Connell came to what was then Bellevue Community College in 1977. During his time as President, he established a solid instructional organization and successfully negoti- ated a new contract with faculty. He left the Bellevue College presidency in 1981 to teach speech and Spanish at the college until 1988. You can read more about O’Connell here.
