- Jazz Choir Performances are from 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
- Groups are strongly encouraged to listen and support all ensembles.
- Competitive or “Comment – Only” option.
- 20-minute warm-up, 25-minute performance, and 25-minute clinic for Vocal Jazz Groups.
- Vocal Soloists will have unlimited warm up, then 15 minutes for rehearsal with Rhythm Section, Performance, and Comments.
- Ensemble choice of Open or Closed Microphones (up to 20 mics provided closed – or 4 Open AKG 414s)
- Piano, Drum Kit, Bass Amp, Guitar amp, Keyboard Amp, & Congas provided. (You should bring Cymbals, auxiliary percussion etc.) If you need Vibes or Keyboard – Please let us know.
- MP3 & Video recording of each group’s performance & Judges Comments.
- State of the art sound reinforcement
- Awards will be given at the end of the afternoon Concert.
- Awards will include 3 Outstanding Ensembles, Outstanding Rhythm Section, Multiple Soloist Awards, and “The Inspirational Ensemble Award!”
