Dental Clinic

Lead Peer Educators (LPEs) are partnering with Medical Teams International to provide emergency dental treatment to the students of Bellevue College. The mobile dental van will be visiting Bellevue College on the following dates during the 2023-2024 academic year to offer services to students with urgent dental needs, including dental pain, swelling, or possible decay (e.g., discolored teeth), and those in need of fillings or tooth extraction:

  • October 18th
  • November 21st
  • December 13th
  • January 10th
  • February 14th
  • March 13th
  • April 24th
  • May 8th
  • June 5th
  • July 10th
  • August 7th

The LPEs have received a grant that specifically targets Blacks, Indigenous peoples, People of Color & Refugees. Additionally, general students with disabilities, those experiencing material poverty or homelessness, asylum seekers, undocumented students, students recovering from substance abuse disorders, and student veterans are also eligible for our services.

Patients with the greatest need (e.g., pain) will receive priority over those with less urgent needs.

General Student Eligibility:

To be eligible, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Have incomes less than 200% of the federal poverty level.
  • Have no private insurance of any kind (state/federal insurance is not a disqualifier).
  • Have no realistic ability to pay for the urgent care they need.
  • Students who cannot take time off work and school to drive to the nearest healthcare office.

Not Eligible:

The following individuals are not eligible for treatment on the mobile clinic:

  • Non-students.
  • Students who exhibit evidence of recent or ongoing treatment by a private dentist or other dental provider will be denied treatment on the mobile clinic.
