Adjusting To Life At Bellevue College
Moving to a new country can feel scary and challenging, even if you speak the language. Cultural differences, food, communication styles, and unfamiliar sights and sounds can make it hard to adjust. This can lead to homesickness, stress, or even illness.
One of the best ways to feel more at home is to make new friends and get involved! Bellevue College offers many clubs and student organizations where you can meet people and learn about different cultures. Getting involved helps you feel connected and adjust more easily. Check out the full list here: bellevuecollege.edu/organizations.
You can also join International Education activities each quarter—like bowling, parties, snow tubing, and local events. You’ll get email to your Bellevue College email with details on how to join!
Starting out can be tough, but once you settle in, it might turn out to be one of the best experiences of your life!
