
Our 1-2 year Professional and Technical Certificate Programs offer a focused, hands-on learning experience—perfect for those seeking specialized skills without committing to a 4-year degree.
These program are ideal for:

Credit Enrollment for F-1 International Students:
- Requirement: Enroll in at least 12 credits per quarter.
- Academic Year Structure: Three required quarters—fall, winter, and spring.
Quarter Length:
- Fall, Winter, Spring: Approximately 11 weeks each.
- Summer: About 8 weeks. Note that the amount of material covered is equivalent to other quarters.

Apply through our International Student Portal by our listed Dates and Deadlines.
If you are a new applicant, scroll to the bottom of the portal page and click “New User.” Remember to save your email and password.
- An online international student application form for your name, contact information, and similar details.
- Transcripts from the most recently attended institution. This must include the student’s name, institution name, classes taken, and grades received.
- A photo or copy of the passport photo page, showing the expiration date.
- A bank statement dated within the last 6 months, showing at least $28,762 USD. See an estimated breakdown of Tuition, Fees & Living Expenses.
- If the bank statement is in anyone else’s name besides the student’s, the Financial Responsibility Form must also be submitted. This includes parents, sponsors, family members, and friends.
- Valid proof of English language proficiency.
- A non-refundable $50 application fee paid online.
- A digitally signed signature document.
- Click ‘Submit Application’ at the top of the application page. This required step must be completed for us to review your application.
Students must submit additional documents to the International Student Portal if they are underage (16 or 17):
- Students must be at least 16 years old by the first day of classes
- A completed and signed Limited Power-of-Attorney for Healthcare Purpose form
- A completed and signed Attorney-in-Fact form
- Underage students who have already graduated from a high school in their home country and seek direct admission to the college level program must submit proof of high school completion (e.g., diploma, IGCSE, O-level exam results, or an expected graduation letter from a school official).
Students must submit additional documents to the International Student Portal for each dependent:
- A copy of each F-2 dependent’s passport photo page (showing expiration date).
- Add $5,000 USD per dependent to the bank statement.
Students transferring from another U.S. school to Bellevue College need to submit extra documents. It’s best to submit your completed application at least two weeks before your grace period ends. If you are a transfer IBP student, please contact International Education us ie@bellevuecollege.edu.
Transfer students must submit copies of these immigration documents to the International Student Portal:
- F-1 visa page
- Current I-20 form
- Most recent I-94 document (i94.cbp.dhs.gov)
- Online Transfer Eligibility Form (found in the International Student Portal Application)
Acceptance packets can be sent by email for free or mailed to an international address for the shipping cost. Students must pay the express mail fee through eShipGlobal and upload the air bill with a full mailing address to their online application in the International Student Portal.

- Incoming college-level students will receive automatic placement into either English 93 or English 101. Students must still enroll in their placement level class.

- Successful completion of Advanced (C1) level at Kaplan.
- Successful completion of Level 6 at California Language Academy.
- Successful completion of Advanced (C1-1) level at EF International Language Schools, Inc.
