High School Dual Credit Admissions

Bellevue College offers three programs for high school students who want to earn college credit while they finish high school. See if one of them may be right for you, and learn about the admissions process for each.

Running Start

Running Start is a statewide partnership between colleges and local high schools that allows high school juniors and seniors to take classes at the college tuition-free.

The high school pays for the college credits, and students earn both high school and college credit at the same time.

Get the best class selection by completing the college application, the Running Start intent form, and all of the admissions steps before your high school closes for summer break.

Still Need Help?

New students who need help enrolling in Running Start classes can attend an in-person info session. These sessions are optional and available to first-time Running Start students.

College in the High School

The Bellevue College in the High School is a free program that allows students in grades 9-12 an opportunity to earn college credit while completing their high school graduation requirements.

The college-level courses are taught by high school teachers who work closely with college faculty. You can earn college credit without leaving your high school campus.

Admission and Enrollment in College in the High School

There is a three-step process to attend classes in Bellevue College in the High School.

  1. Apply for admission.
  2. Activate your ctcLink account, using instructions included in your welcome email.
  3. Enroll in classes.

Do you plan to attend Bellevue College after high school?

If you know what degree and program you want to go into, enter that information on your College in the High School application for Degree and Program.

Pacific Northwest College Credit

PNW College Credit offers high school students the opportunity to earn college credit at their high school for Career and Technical Education (CTE) classes.

Eligible high school classes in professional or technical programs can be registered with our program. To earn credit, complete your class with a B grade (3.0) or above, and request that the credit be posted to your college transcript.

Enrollment in Pacific Northwest College Credit

There are four steps to earn CTE Dual Credit from Pacific Northwest College Credit.

  1. Enroll in an eligible class at your high school or skill center.
  2. Create an account in the Statewide Enrollment & Reporting System (SERS).
  3. In SERS, register the high school classes that you are taking this school year (eligible classes will be listed).
  4. Pay the $50 fee.
