

The Healthcare Management & Leadership (HCML) Bachelors of Applied Science (BAS) General concentration is designed to meet the career advancement needs of individuals with radiation and imaging science preparation and experience. The RAIM concentration offers a professionally relevant curriculum built around the essentials of leadership and provide an overview of the business and administrative functions of healthcare. Required core courses provide the technical knowledge and foundational skills critical to your success as a manager or advanced technologist. Courses provide understanding of business concepts, legal issues unique to the radiation and imaging industry, organizational theory, leadership and management, as well as content that develops skills in critical thinking, problem solving, communication, teamwork, and cultural sensitivity. Students can also choose from electives that will help develop advanced technical skills that best match their career goals.

Interested students must an Imaging Technologist in Radiologic Technology, Nuclear Medicine, or Radiation Therapy or completing their final year in one of those imaging programs. Additionally, prerequisite courses listed below must be completed at a regionally accredited institution with a 2.0 (C) prior to starting the HCML program. You can be enrolled in one or more of these classes during the time of your application.
- National Certification in Radiologic Technology, Nuclear Medicine, or Radiation Therapy or completing their final year in one of those imaging programs.
- One AAS-DTA Science Course • 5 Cr
- One AAS-DTA Science Course with a Lab • 5 Cr
- ENGL& 101 English Composition I • 5 Cr.
- ENGL 201 The Research Paper • 5 Cr.
- MATH 130 Introduction to Statistics • 5 Cr.
These co-requisite courses can be completed during the program but it is best to complete them prior to starting the program.

The Radiation & Imaging Sciences program is a selective admission program which admits new students twice a year. Students can apply during either application cycle but the Breast Certificate courses begin in Fall Quarter. Apply Now!

In addition to our Bachelors of Applied Science degree, the Healthcare Management & Leadership offers our courses to current professionals seeking single courses. Professionals must apply to Bellevue College but are not required to apply to the HCML program. Professionals are limited to take 10 credits per year as a non-matriculated student.
Step 1: Apply for general admission at Bellevue College
You must apply to Bellevue College in order to take a course through our program. Please allow 1-2 weeks for processing time. You will need your Bellevue College Student Id (SID) to complete step 2.
Step 2: Complete the entry code request form for each course
You will need a copy of your unofficial transcripts showing completion of two quarters (10 credits) of Anatomy & Physiology at a regionally accredited institution in order to complete the request. Your request will be processed in the order received!
Step 3: Register for your course
After your request is approved, you will receive an entry code which allows you to register for your course! Check your registration date and time, use the class schedule to find the correct item number, and purchase your books as soon as possible!
