The Healthcare Management & Leadership (HCML) Bachelors of Applied Science (BAS) General concentration is designed to meet the career advancement needs of individuals with business and/or healthcare preparation and experience. The general concentration offers a professionally relevant curriculum built around the essentials of leadership. Students in this concentration will be provided with an overview of the business and administrative functions of healthcare, along with an understanding of the essentials of leadership that will enable them to become effective administrators in the healthcare industry.

The prerequisite courses listed below must be completed at a regionally accredited institution with a 2.0 (C) prior to starting the HCML program. You can be enrolled in one or more of these classes during the time of your application.
- Elective Credits in arts & humanities, social science, business, science, accounting, mathematics, computer science, IT or healthcare related field, or equivalent credits • 50 Cr
- One AAS-DTA Science Course with a Lab • 5-6 Cr
- ENGL& 101 English Composition I • 5 Cr.
- ENGL 201 The Research Paper • 5 Cr.
- MATH 130 Introduction to Statistics • 5 Cr.
These co-requisite courses can be completed during the program but it is best to complete them prior to starting the program.

- One Humanities from AAS-DTA transfer list • 5 Cr
- One Social Science from AAS-DTA transfer list • 5 Cr
Either Humanities or Social Sciences must be a communication course

The Radiation & Imaging Sciences program is a selective admission program which admits new students twice a year. Students can apply during either application cycle but the Breast Certificate courses begin in Fall Quarter. Apply Now!

In addition to our Bachelors of Applied Science degree, the Healthcare Management & Leadership offers our courses to current professionals seeking single courses. Professionals must apply to Bellevue College but are not required to apply to the HCML program. Professionals are limited to take 10 credits per year as a non-matriculated student.
Step 1: Apply for general admission at Bellevue College
You must apply to Bellevue College in order to take a course through our program. Please allow 1-2 weeks for processing time. You will need your ctcLink ID and BC email address to complete step 2.
Step 2: Complete the permission number request form for each course
You will need a copy of your unofficial transcripts showing completion of minimally ENGL& 101 and preferably ENGL 201 (or equivalent course). Your request will be processed in the order received!
Step 3: Register for your course
After your request is approved, you will receive a permission number which allows you to register for your course! Check your registration date and time, use the class schedule to find the correct item number, and purchase your books as soon as possible!
