- Online Scheduled: Meets online one or two hours per week via Zoom.

- NEW! Accelerated FYS 101: This special section meets for five, 3.5 hour sessions just before the fall quarter starts and then finishes up fully online, asynchronous for the first two weeks of the quarter. A great way to get a head start and complete the requirement before other class ramp up!

- FYS for STEM Students, for students interested in exploring Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math
- FYS for Running Start Students,dual-enrollment students are encouraged to enroll
- FYS for Puente Students, reserved for students in the Puente Scholars program (fall quarter only)
- FYS for Umoja Students, reserved for students in the Umoja Scholars program (fall quarter only)
- FYS for TRIO/First-Generation Students, for students in the TRIO program and first-generation college students (fall quarter only)

Students enrolling in the following FYS 101 Sections are required to simultaneously enroll in the linked course sections as listed:
- FYS 101 + BIOL& 160: FYS 101, HE-LEC (15099) + BIOL& 160, (9337) | MoWe 12:30 PM – 1:20 PM & 1:30-3:20 PM, taught by Allison Kang and Winston Stauffer.
- FYS 101 + ENGL& 101: FYS 101, HI-LEC (41201) + ENGL& 101, (14001) | TuTh 9:30 AM -10:20 AM & 10:30-11:20 AM, taught by Jeremiah Allen.
