The concept of a course syllabus has changed over the years from a statement of course content to much more of a contract with the student, wherein college policies and instructor expectations must be spelled out in much greater detail. In order to give our students accurate and current information, Bellevue College has created this template to assist instructors with syllabus preparation and presentation.
Template Options
Content in both the Word and Cidi Labs syllabi match and is updated each year.
This link will request your Bellevue College login to access the syllabus.
You will be saving a copy of the template on your machine in Word format. This template has been checked for accessibility, but it is a good idea to check it again when you have completed your modifications. Helpful Guide: Microsoft help for checking a Word document’s accessibility.

How-Tos
Visit the Cidi Labs Syllabus Template Guide to access video and text-based instructions for adding the Syllabus Template to your courses.
➡️ Important Tips
Keeping Your Syllabus Up-To-Date
Build a routine of updating your course syllabi to the latest version of the syllabus template on an annual basis.
Ensuring Your Syllabus is Accessible
Your Word and PDF syllabus versions must be accessible for all students, even if you provide these in addition to using the Cidi Labs Syllabus Template. Use the Accessibility Checker in Word and Adobe Acrobat before linking to your syllabus. Please contact Interactive eLearning (elearning@bellevuecollege.edu) if you would like guidance on creating accessible formats of your syllabus.
