Who Are We and What We Do
Throughout our college, there are many of us who wish to support immigrant and refugee students, staff, faculty, and community members. We do our best to counsel and advise students and peers who constantly navigate systems filled with obstacles and lacking infrastructure. It’s hard work!
Why not pool our resources to support one another in our endeavors? At the same time, let’s acknowledge our immigrant heritage as an indelible source of strength in our lives.
Coming to America is an affinity group for all members of the BC community who identify as supporters of immigrants and refugees and who also personally acknowledge an immigrant heritage—at any generation. We meet in person once a quarter for stories and comfort food, and stay connected through comingtoamerica@BellevueC.onmicrosoft.com all year round. Please contact Fabienne Mouton, Maria Paula McPherson, or Kattie Dang if you would like to be added to our communication listserv. We also utilize Teams as a repository for upcoming events, BC/community resources, and relevant information.
