The Data Management & Analysis Bachelor of Applied Science program has an Excel proficiency prerequisite. Students can complete this prerequisite by either completing BATECH 165 (Business Spreadsheet Analysis and Design) or CS 250 (Management Information Systems) with a C or better. We recommend BATECH 165 if you have little Excel experience.
You also have the option to take the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Certification Exam for Excel. The King County Library System offers the exam several times each month. Full details about how to prepare for, register for, and complete the exam are on the KCLS website in the Excel portion of the ‘Microsoft Office Specialist’ section.”
If you do not already have a King County Library System card, as a Bellevue College student you are allowed to access their resources. Your Library Card number will be “BVC” followed by your Student ID number (SID). Your Library Card Pin is the last four numbers of your SID. Full details are available here: https://bellevuecollege.libguides.com/KCLS/Access.
Once you pass the certification through Certiport, you will receive your results and can forward proof of passing to Amber Kelly, the DM&A Program Manager, at amber.kelly@bellevuecollege.edu.
