How to Plan Your Winter Quarter

Hi student,

There’s a lot changing with our transition to ctcLink. One of the most important changes is to how you view your degree progress and plan your upcoming classes.

While you’ll still get all the information you need to make sure you’re on track, the process will change for a few months while we transition to the new software.

Of note:

  • Degree audits in the current system will not update with grades after Summer Quarter 2021.
  • Any changes to curriculum are no longer reflected, and new degree requirements will not be reflected, in the current degree audit system.
  • The online catalog contains the most up-to-date information for all degrees and certificates.
  • Worksheets on the online catalog are currently the best way to track and plan your degree and/or certificate.
  • Fall Quarter 2021 grades will only be posted in ctcLink.
  • Degree audits are known as Academic Advisement Reports in ctcLink.
  • There is no timetable for when Academic Advisement Reports will be updated with degree and certificate information, but the process starts Nov. 8 and will take a few months.
  • Degree information is entered into ctcLink by degree demand/popularity. A processing dashboard will be available at a later date.

Academic Advisement Reports in ctcLink

Your current degree audit displays information through Summer Quarter 2021 but is not updated with recent changes to curriculum. Use your degree audit and a worksheet from the online catalog to plan your degree.

Here are the steps:

  1. Download and/or print your program of study’s degree planning worksheet from the online catalog.
  2. Log in to Degree Audit, select your program of study from the drop-down list, and select ‘Run Audit’
  3. Expand the sections of your degree audit where you have credits applied
  4. Match the classes you’ve completed on your degree audit to the degree completion worksheet
  5. Make sure to include classes you expect to earn credit for in Fall Quarter 2021
  6. Use the worksheet to view classes you still need to complete to earn your degree and/or certificate.
