On Wednesday, Nov. 1, RISE hosted an elections awareness event on campus. Guests from King County Elections Outreach came to campus and presented information on mail-in voting, election security, and the overall voting and counting process. Approximately 50 students, faculty, and staff attended the presentation in D106. The event was also live streamed on a YouTube channel, and it was recorded to allow faculty the ability to use it in future classes. Special thanks to RISE faculty lead for community engagement and civic education Taylor Dalrymple for helping coordinate the event.
