Tamara Pinkas has taken on a new job as the RISE Learning Institute’s Experiential Education Full-Time Faculty for the Academic Internship Program.  This is a new full-time faculty position in the Connected Learning Division that is responsible for designing, implementing, teaching, and evaluating experiential education opportunities for Bellevue College students.

Tamara has been RISE’s Interim Internship Coordinator since October 2022 and a Career Specialist with the Center for Career Connections since joining the College in 2014. Prior to BC, Tamara was a faculty Cooperative Education Coordinator at Lane Community College in Eugene, Oregon, helping students experience work-based learning in a variety of fields. Tamara has a great skillset and experience to move RISE’s internship program forward.

One of Tamara’s roles in her new position is serving as faculty Program Chair for adjunct faculty who teach in Experiential Learning, STEM to Stern, Neurodiversity Navigators, and Occupational & Life Skills, areas of the Connected Learning Division that have not previously had a faculty Program Chair. Tamara looks forward to working with faculty who teach EXPRL, STEM, Neurodiversity, and OLS classes.
