Biography:
Role/Title: Associate Director & STEM Liaison
Education: Ph.D. in Microbiology and Immunology, Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry
What I Do:
- As the Associate Director and STEM Liaison for RISE and CCC, I manage the STEM to Stern cohort program, BC MakerSpace, and NASA-funded Space Grant. I also teach STEM 101, STEM 102, and STEM 103.
What I Love About My Role:
- I love helping students explore their STEM interests, expand their skills, and map out their career goals.
Advice for students:
- My greatest advice for students is to build a strong personal and professional network. Find people who inspire you and ask questions. Never stop learning and growing.
Hobbies/Interests:
- I love the outdoors and enjoy hiking and running the beautiful mountain trails we have all around us.
- I am also a huge book nerd and coffee addict.
Fun Facts:
- I’ve run a 50-mile mountain trail race and I ride an Indian Scout Motorcycle.
