Abbott Construction – Project Estimator

By: Austin Shaythong, Sean Newman, Thanh Duong, and Miguel Diaz Covarrubias

Abbott Estimator allows contractors to provide initial pre-construction estimates for potential customers faster and more efficiently than the current method of manually calculating costs using portable iOS or Android devices. This will reduce the amount of time pre-construction estimators will take to provide quotes and provide visibility to major aspects of the quote to both contractor and customer. Abbott’s pre-construction estimators have login capabilities and are be able to edit and update rates. Pricing and Admin credentials are stored in a noSQL database. The app reads from the DB in order to initialize current and updated pricing. Non-admin users (all other users) can use the app to generate pre-construction estimates but will be unable to edit pricing. Pricing can be calculated by the app and rounded to the nearest thousand. The app provides a range between 30% of the approximate cost of their construction options. A summary will be displayed to the user to include all options the user has selected along with all other costs included in the estimate. A list of exclusions is also provided to the user. This summary can be saved to the phone’s file system or shared among various apps within the phone, such as e-mail.

Georgetown Super 8 Film Festival Archive

By: Jordan Rackley, Ian Johnson, Joseph Vincenzi, and Hannah Pittman

Our team built a streaming video gallery for the Georgetown Super 8 Film Festival. We created a React/Express application which allows users to browse through films submitted to the festival and view them. The application was designed to be embedded in the client’s existing web page, and was unveiled at the Georgetown Super 8 Film Festival 2020. The application includes support for uploading additional content as new entries are submitted each year.

Bloodworks Northwest AI

By: Sarah Lusby, Javed Masood and Harseerat Sandhu

Our team did a project for Bloodworks Northwest Lab, a blood donation center and research institute, via the Bloodworks Northwest volunteer program. The laboratory data our team worked with was antibody detection and identification. Our team assisted in creating an AI solution to automate the process of the rule-out method along with the Agitare Technologies team. We ended up providing a different project outcome for Bloodworks Northwest, and developed a database using Microsoft SQL server management studio to store the laboratory data in a electronic format. The database was able to accommodate the needs of our clients at Bloodworks Northwest by storing testing data as well as make it more transferable to other applications.

Bloodworks Northwest Trainee Database

By: Cory Dearinger, Randy Knox, and Nguyen P Nguyen

Bloodworks has been saving lives through research, innovation, education, and excellence in blood for over 70 years. They are an independent, non-profit organization providing medical and laboratory services, eliciting donor gifts to provide a safe, lifesaving blood supply to more than 90 Northwest hospitals. Bloodworks Northwest is looking for a program to track and store information on their Volunteers, Trainees, Students, Physicians, and visitors. We created a database in SQL Server that will track information on all these entities relevant to their specific needs. In addition, we created a user interface that can add, manage, and extract data from the database.

OLS Project – Bellevue College

By: Joshua Beyrouty, Roman Kalashnikov, Zachary Nelson, and Sunset Kwon

The Occupational & Life Skills (OLS) program at Bellevue College North Campus uses multiple programs to gather data on student performances and generate grade reports. Since their current system requires staffs to spend many hours to prepare each student’s report, our clients are looking for a secure database that will be able to hold student information as well as their grades with a simple User Interface. Our team developed a product that will allow for the adding of students to classes efficiently, and the ability to input student grades and create reports directly.

Microsoft Azure WebApp with Docker Containers & Kubernetes

By: Ketrasa Phommarath

This project was a study on how to utilize Azure Active Directory to control authentication and access, build an application backend with Docker Containers, and use Azure Kubernetes to provision, scale, and manage WebApps. Engaging in this project allowed me to gain overall familiarity with Azure and its functionalities. This project utilized both cloud based skills as well as traditional server management.

Turnkey Project

By: Edgar Aponte, Nicole Hernandez, Patrick Criedlle, Kylie McSherry, Divya Nair, and Wei-Te Tsai

Our task has been to create an Ansible playbook that pushes out configurations we will be able to use to deploy multiple networks. We used GNS3 to create a sandbox to place our network configurations: One Ubuntu VM, One Switch, Three Routers. We were also able to install Splunk to monitor system data.
