BULLDOG WOMEN WIN TWO

Bellevue College women’s basketball continue their winning ways, taking their first two league matches. Beginning with a home game on the BC campus January 5, hosting Shoreline, the Bulldogs dawdled a bit during the first half to have only a one-point lead going into intermission. DenHartog led scoring for Bellevue at 19 points each, with Kelly Sutherland contributing 10 points and a scorching 13 rebounds. With the final whistle, Bellevue entered their first league match into the win column with a score of 70-53 over Shoreline.

Freshman DenHartog, shooting at 80% from the floor, pulled in a game-high 22 points for Bellevue. Starters Sparks and Sanda Milovic provided additional strength for the Bulldogs with Sparks’ 17 points, and Milovic’s double-double 13 points and 10 rebounds. Bellevue bested the Pirates 67-40 to close out the weekend.
