
Bellevue College’s men’s basketball team raced out to a 43-22 lead in the first half and cruised to a 75-48 win over the Gonzaga University club team at Courter Family Athletic Pavilion on Wednesday afternoon.
Jack Walton led the Bulldogs with 19 points and 10 rebounds. The blowout allowed Coach Jeremy Eggers to open up playing time, as 10 players saw action, including nine playing more than 10 minutes apiece. Freshman Yonathan Michael scored 14 points while Jordan Muir-Kueng chipped in 12.
The Bulldogs shot 54 percent in the first half compared to 20 percent by their counterparts which catapulted them to their easy win.
The Bulldogs have back-to-back games this Sunday January 3 (home vs. Yakima Valley at 2 p.m.) and Monday January 4 (at Highline 7 p.m.)
