
Although Bellevue lost one point early at the start of the weekend, the Bulldogs cruised to two league wins over Spokane, 8-1 and Skagit Valley, 9-0 to remain in first place in NWAC tennis.
On Saturday, April 18, Nadean Al-Ali won number one singles in a thriller, 6-3, 1-6, 6-4. Kristy Braunston of BC was not as fortunate, losing narrowly in number two singles, 4-6, 6-3, 6-2.
Anna Lefebvre, Angela Moniaga, Sabrina Norton, and Melanie Mortensen all won in straight sets for the remaining singles matches.
On Sunday, April 19, Braunston bounced back and played number one singles and won easily 6-0, 6-1. Due to a shortage of players, Bellevue won three of the points by default (#5 and 6 singles, #3 doubles). Here are the results of the weekend’s matches:
