Softball Competes at NWAC Crossover

Bellevue College softball traveled to the Tri-Cities for the NWAC Crossover this weekend. On Sat. Apr. 12 the Bulldogs fell to SW Oregon 14-5 and Columbia Basin 13-5. On Sun. Apr. 13 Bellevue fell 20-1 to Mt. Hood before coming back in the nightcap defeating Grays Harbor 15-5. No game details were reported for the Saturday games.

In the Sunday opener, the Bulldogs gave up 10 runs in the first inning as Bellevue’s pitchers could not stop Mt. Hood’s offense as the Saints racked up 21 hits in the lopsided win.

In game two, BC did the opposite, scoring runs early as they plated all 15 runs in the first two innings as BC scored seven in the first and eight in the second. Hallie Sehlin was the big hitter for the Bulldogs with three hits and four RBI’s. Maddie Repp and Brooke Baker had three hits as well as BC banged out 17 hits.

The Bulldogs are 16-8 overall and will host Highline this Wed. Apr. 16 at 4 p.m.
