Bellevue College athletics in conjunction with the BC Foundation held the annual golf tournament at nearby Glendale Country Club. The event serves as the largest fundraiser for the college’s athletic department scholarship allotment each year. The Bulldogs athletic teams had representatives out assisting with the event which attracted over 120 golfers. Amongst the field were several prominent annual boosters, department vendors and suppliers, alumni, and current coaches and student-athletes.

The event featured a high quality venue, a near full field, and weather which cooperated by eliminating precipitation before the tournament began, making it a huge success before it even began. Kirk Johanson, a former Bellevue College student-athlete on the golf team and former Bellevue College golf coach won the title along with his teammates Daren Hopper, Jordan Hopper, and David Hansen. Other winners of competition events included Thomas Duke (putting contest), Kramer Sims, Jake Terao (Closest to the pin), Jeff Betts, Brett Barrett (Long drive for participants age 50 and over), Bob Klemkoo, Ethan Thomas (Long drive for participants age 49 and younger).

The event also featured a silent auction as the Director of Athletics, Jeremy Eggers, gave acknowledgements and a closing speech about BC Athletics. The event is held annually in the March-April time frame. For future information on the event, contact the BC Foundation
