

Bellevue College softball continued their offensive explosion with a sweep over host Highline by scores of 12-4 and 17-3. Both games ended early due to the run limit rule.
In the opener, BC put up a steady stream of runs, scoring in all six innings, capped off with four in the fifth inning and three in the sixth. Brooke Baker was three-for-four with six RBI’s. She doubled and had a home run and was assisted in the hitting efforts by Riley Pirkle, Jaclyn Huntzinger, and Ryleigh Wotzka who all had two hits.
In game two, Bellevue jumped out 4-0 in the first before a big third inning in which the ‘dogs plated nine runs, putting BC up 13-2. Four more runs in the fifth added to the onslaught. Wotzka had six RBI’s on two hits including a home run. Pirkle had three hits, three runs, and three RBI’s with a double. Baker went the distance in the circle allowing only four hits while striking out seven.
Bellevue runs their North Region record to 4-0 and 8-2 overall. They host Shoreline this Wed. Mar. 26 at 4 p.m.
