
Bellevue College women’s basketball scored over 100 points in a dominating 101-64 win over visiting Shoreline at Courter Family Athletic Pavilion. Bellevue scored over 20 points in all four quarters and put up 28 three pointers, making nine of them and shooting 55% overall for the night.
Lily Auelua came off the bench and was on fire from the beginning, making all three of her attempts from the field including two from three point range as the Bulldogs jumped ahead 24-11 after one quarter. BC raced ahead 50-25 at halftime then put up 28 points in the third as Auelua threw down another two three-pointers.
Five Bulldogs scored in double digits in a balanced effort. Aysha Peter led the scoring rampage with 23 points. Auelua’s 20 was followed by Devynn Warns with 19, Sahara Soufi with 14, and Myana Calloway with 10. Peter and Auelua accounted for eight of the team’s nine three-pointers.
Bellevue is now 16-11 overall and are in a three-way tie for second place in North Region play at 8-4 with Olympic and Skagit Valley. The Bulldogs have two pivotal games remaining this Sat. Feb. 22 at Edmonds who are currently one game back at 7-5 before finishing regular season play at home against Skagit Valley next Wed. Feb. 26.
