Bulldog Volleyball Rolls

Bellevue College volleyball traveled to Bremerton and took care of host Olympic College with ease, winning 25-7, 25-16, 25-14 in the three-set sweep. The Bulldogs hit at a red-hot .400 mark committing only eight swing errors and controlled at the serve line with eight aces.

Freshman opposite Karisa Martin was on fire with nine kills and no errors in 11 attempts. She hit .818 while Jessi Mahler had 10 kills. Defensively, Olympic was over-matched and could do little against Bellevue’s back row as Maycee Ward and Mailina Burke had 11 and 8 digs respectively.

Freshman Kawehi Sarona, playing in front of her hometown fans, had four of the team’s eight aces.

The Bulldogs host first place Skagit Valley Fri. Oct. 25 at 7 p.m. A win by BC can possibly put them in a position to tie for the North Region title and are looking to avenge a 3-0 sweep by the Cardinals earlier in the season.
