Bellevue College women’s golf held on for dear life at the Highline Showdown, winning by four strokes over Southwestern Oregon. The Bulldogs shot a two-day total of +84 and were led by Jaclyn Yoo, who shot 78 on day two, going one over par over her last four holes. Yoo, who held a narrow one shot lead after day one, distanced herself with her strong second round to win the medalist honors by seven strokes.
Southwestern Oregon shaved three strokes off BC’s seven stroke day one lead but could not get any closer.
Sophomore Kate Sabarillo finished fifth overall with rounds of 88-88 while Bella Jones finished eleventh at +38.
The win concludes Bellevue’s fall slate as the season will pick up in the spring in April when the ‘dogs tee it up at the South Puget Sound Invite in Tumwater, WA on Apr. 13.
