
Bellevue College women’s soccer made a statement of how strong the North Region is as the North #3 seed, Bellevue, topped South #2 seed Lane 6-0 today in Eugene, OR. The Bulldogs dominated in every aspect and outshot the Titans 18-1. Of the 18, 14 were on goal as the ‘dogs had scoring opportunities and ball control on their side of midfield for the entire game.
Rhys Cannava and Kayleigh Acree were BC’s biggest threats as Cannava had six shots on goal, scoring three times, while Acree had five shots on goal, scoring twice.
Bellevue had three goals apiece in both halves. Tannah Huffines was BC’s other player who netted a goal on an assist by Giulia Menning just prior to halftime at the 43:11 mark.
The Bulldogs advance to the second round of the playoffs this Saturday Nov. 4 with a game at Spokane. The Sasquatch are the East Region’s #1 seed and are 12-2-3 on the year.
