Bellevue College men’s soccer and visiting Skagit Valley drew to a 3-3 tie in a critical match in North Region play.

The Bulldogs appeared to be on the verge of a win before Skagit Valley stunned BC with a late goal with less than 10 minutes remaining.

BC got on top early and led 2-0 on goals by Johan Gaytan and Noah Baer. Baer’s goal at 34:39 was set up by Parfait Ngandu.

Skagit tied it up early in the second half before Ngandu answered to put BC back up 3-2 with a connection with Jorge Segovia. Ngandu’s goal sent BC’s crowd into joy as the momentum swung back to BC as the ‘dogs were minutes away from the big win before Skagit’s late goal.

Bellevue is now 3-1-4 (5-1-4 overall) and is in third place in the North tied with Skagit Valley. The Bulldogs have a pair of games on the road this week at Shoreline Wednesday Oct. 11 at 2:30 p.m. and Saturday Oct. 14 at Everett at 2:15 p.m.
