In a battle of top teams in the NWAC competing for rights for first place in the North Region, visiting Skagit Valley came out on top with two early first half goals for a 2-0 win over Bellevue in women’s soccer.

Bellevue’s offense was simply shutdown all day by a tenacious Skagit Valley defense, as the ‘dogs failed to get one shot off on goal for the entire game.

Skagit’s two quick goals came within the first twenty minutes which was all they would need.

Bellevue falls to 4-2-2 (5-2-3 overall) while Skagit ran to 7-0. The dogs have a pair of road games this week at Shoreline on Wednesday Oct. 11 at noon and Saturday Oct. 14 at noon as well.
