Although not a win, Bellevue College women’s soccer left Port Angeles today on a high note as the Bulldogs tied undefeated and top-ranked Peninsula 1-1. After being outshot 19-9, including a 14-5 disadvantage in the second half, BC’s Kayleigh Acree found the back of the net when it mattered the most late in the game at the 76:49 mark on an assist by Macie Masterson.
Against the top offense in the NWAC, Anya Gilbertson was brilliant as the ‘keeper recorded seven saves and single-handedly kept BC in the game.
Bellevue is 2-1-2 in league play and 3-1-3 overall. They host Edmonds this Wednesday Sept. 27 at 2:00 p.m.
