Bellevue College volleyball outpowered host Shoreline tonight by sweeping in three straight sets 25-19, 25-12, 25-18. Bellevue hit .266 compared to the .023 of Shoreline.
Marin Mackey had a nearly flawless night with 14 kills and only one error paired along with 12 digs and three aces. Freshman Jeanice Gamez was also efficient with the swing percentage with six kills in nine attempts with zero errors for a .667 percentage. The Bulldogs who have switched to a single setter due to a concussion to freshman setter Taylor Pederson, relied on the assists by Lauren Wittmers who had 31 on the night.
Bellevue is now 6-1 in league and reached the 20 win mark for the season at 20-6 overall. They host Edmonds next Wednesday October 19 at 7:00 PM.
