Bellevue College women’s soccer lost 1-0 to Whatcom in Bellingham yesterday as the ‘dogs lost for the second time by a single goal to the Orcas, falling previously 3-2 in their initial encounter.
Bellevue outshot Whatcom 13-6 but could not cash in. The shutout was Bellevue’s fifth straight game without scoring a goal. Whatcom’s Lucy Vorotnikov recorded the shutout in the box for the Orcas, as she saved all six of Bellevue’s shots on goal in a defensive battle.
Bellevue’s defense allowed only two Whatcom shots on goal. Unfortunately, Whatcom caught a break at the 33:57 mark scoring the lone goal of the game.
The ‘dogs hope to snap their five-game losing streak this Wednesday October 12 as they travel to Skagit Valley for a 2:00 PM battle.
