Bellevue College volleyball took care of quick business tonight defeating visiting Tacoma in three straight sets 25-8, 25-18, 25-15.
Although both teams came out sloppy in set one, with both teams committing six errors apiece, BC raised their kill percentage from .148 to .250 by the end of match. Tacoma went the other direction committing 11 errors in the final set with 26 overall for the night.
AJ Gueller ended the night for the Titans on a set by Taylor Pederson.
Freshman Lauren Wittmers had three service aces as the ‘dogs dominated not only at the serve line but also at the net, outhitting TCC 25-16.
Meg Perry had six kills and only one error for a .455 percentage. Marin Mackey was again efficient in both front and back row with six kills and 11 digs while Pederson had a team-high 13 assists.
Bellevue, who recently came out at #5 in the NWAC TicketSmarter Poll, is now 11-4 and is on a 5-match win streak as they head to Pasco for the NWAC Crossover Tourney this weekend hosted by Columbia Basin College. Bellevue will get a second chance at defending NWAC Champion Linn-Benton, who is currently undefeated on the season at 12-0.
