
Bishop Tosi’s was a perfect three-for-three in overtime nailing a three pointer and two free throws to lead Bellevue to an 81-76 win at Everett today. Tosi’s free throws with 14 seconds remaining sealed the win.
Everett was up by a comfortable margin of ten points for most of the second half until a heroic comeback ensued around the 3:50 mark as Tosi and Maui Sze had a 12-point scoring spree to bring Bellevue to within two at 70-68 with 1:26 to go. Tosi again delivered with a layup after an Everett turnover with 12 seconds remaining to send the game into overtime.
The epic comeback has rejuvenated Bellevue’s playoff hopes in a see-saw season in which the ‘dogs were ranked #1 in the NWAC before falling in four straight games, and have now scratched their way back with a three-game win streak. BC is now in third place at 5-4 in league and 15-6 overall and will host Skagit Valley this Wednesday February 23 at 7:00 p.m.
