Bellevue College men’s golf battled, but saw how competitive golf at the four-year college level is, finishing seventh overall out of 12 teams at the St. Martin’s Invitational held Friday and Saturday at The Home Course in DuPont.
The Bulldogs finished in order of their seeds pre-tourney, as the team’s #1, Tyler Spalti, led BC’s scoring finishing tied for 17th overall with rounds of 72-72-75. Dallon Bennett, the ‘dogs’ #2 seed, finished T21 along with #3 seed Dalton Dean at 221. Bennett fired a 67, the low round of the field on the final day. Christian Taylor rounded out BC’s scoring with a 75-78-75 for a three-round total of 228; good enough for a T47th overall in the individual standings.
Bellevue has a two-week break to prepare for their first official league match in two years as they travel to Spokane for the NWAC League Match held at historic Indian Canyon GC on Oct. 11-12.
