Men’s Soccer Ties and Loses One Each at NWAC Friendlies

Bellevue College men’s soccer opened up the 2021 traditional fall season this week at the NWAC Friendlies in Tukwila. The Bulldogs rallied back late on Wednesday to tie Wenatchee Valley 1-1 before falling 7-0 to Rogue today.

In yesterday’s season opener, Cody Pruitt nailed home the tying shot at the 68:00 mark unassisted to tie the game after a 30 minute scoreless stretch by both teams. The ‘dogs’ defense was strong, allowing only two shots on goal by the Knights.

In today’s loss, the Bulldogs were stunned as Rogue put in three goals in the first 10 minutes of the match to fall behind deep early on. Within the first few minutes of the second half, the Osprey tacked on two more goals making it 5-0 before another two late in the game.

Bellevue hosts Portland on Tuesday August 31 at 2:15 p.m.
