Bulldogs Softball Splits At Edmonds

Bellevue College softball split a doubleheader at Edmonds yesterday as the Bulldogs took the opener 8-0 and lost the nightcap 4-3. In the opener, the two teams were in a pitchers’ duel as BC’s Kaci Imus kept Edmonds in check with a 2-hit shutout. Bellevue’s bats were for the most part silent until the fifth when Kelci Studioso doubled home Aulani Garcia. Imus followed up with a single to score Studioso. In the sixth, BC blew it open as Garcia doubled and got help on a defensive miscue to allow BC to score two unearned runs.

In game two, Edmonds won on a walk off single by Anna Fridell. The ‘dogs had their chance in the sixth with runners on second and third but could not capitalize.

Bellevue is now 7-5 and hosts Edmonds tomorrow Monday May 24 at 4:00 p.m.
