Women’s Basketball Cruise Over Olympic

Bellevue College women’s basketball jumped out to an early lead and never looked back as the Bulldogs defeated visiting Olympic College 74-53 tonight at Courter Family Athletic Pavilion. Bellevue held an 18-9 lead after the first quarter and blew it open with a 27 point third quarter in which eight different Bulldogs scored.

Coach Mel Stubblefield used all ten of his players in the quarter as the ‘dogs put up 22 attempts controlling the ball while holding Olympic to just 12 shots. Freshman Willow Jackson came off the bench to lead BC with 13 points while Mo Bungay added 11. Barbora Sutara controlled BC’s defense with a team-high 7 rebounds and 3 steals.

Bellevue is now 9-1 and hosts Everett this Saturday at 2:00.
