Bellevue College women’s basketball continued their hot play with a 60-55 win at Peninsula today. After falling behind by five entering the final quarter, Bellevue drained a few key three-pointers to overtake the Pirates in the fourth.
The ‘dogs tied it up in a little over a minute of play into the fourth quarter on a three-pointer by Addy Clabby and a bucket by freshman McKayla Rodriguez, making it 40-40 with plenty of time remaining. Bungay and Clabby paced the Bulldogs with 17 and 14 points respectively while Van Ess filled in for Barbora Sutara in her first start and delivered with a team-high 8 rebounds and the two key free throws in OT.
